Lets be honest, cos as a daily, or evo? Someone I know has an evo, been driving it for quite a while, daily, and has had no trouble atall. also 'jap crap', mate, they're far from crap!

hate to tell you this but if that car is a 98 s reg theres a very good chance like 100% that the car is a evo 5,mitsubishi brought out the 6 in 1999 january so how the fook its a 6 is strange. earliest 6 production was jan 99 so that car has my alarm bells ringing. check the vin with a ralliart dealer just to be certain but the japs loved to change 5's into 6's

yes matey and they should all be 1999 s reg not 1998 s reg.

like i said evo 6 production was starting jan 99,so a 98 evo 6 is bollocks.
you can get a 99 evo 5 though.

the escos would be the one for me,but you couldnt use it everyday or just park it anywhere as you would be too paranoid, true the evo will be more reliable long term but come on the cossie's an icon... and kept in that condition will only go up in value where the evo will lose a small fortune, i suppose its each to their own but i would have the escos without the slightest hesitation

The new car:

http://www.mcrvehiclesales.co.uk/Car.aspx?CarId=174

Evo 370bhp
Cossie was 300bhp

Evo makes the cossie feel slow apparently
I think the cossie is gorgeous and hes nuts! lol

they gave him the evo and 4k which i thought wasnt bad tho

If the evo still has those wheels get him to check the amount of thread on the wheel nuts,
Without longer studs the nuts only go on 3 turns with is not enough.

if thats the case i would rather have 10 evo 6's then

well i suppose its somthing to do with it came runner up in the wrc a few times,it missed its first golden oppertunity to win the wrc due to the star driver smashing his feet in a shitty ferrari f40 road accident and thats a fact. also the car won more championships than even i can spout out,
the best being the 1994 european rally championship which the escort cosworth won in great style

it was a winner for ford and due to limited numbers built thats why some people think its a piece of ford motorsport history.

Glenny have a look at this http://www.francocunico.it/rally_dri...o/era-martini/

i posted this video on the Mitsubishi Lancer Register when some bell ends were giving the escort cosworth the sick, the majority over there can't understand how a 17 year old low mileage vgc std escort cos can be worth loads more than say a std evo 9

its because the escort has pedigree

mind you i got a escort cos a evo and a porsche, i don't give a fuck

evo's are great cars and i'd rather drive one daily than my escort cos.

just to give you a idea why evo's don't hold their money unless a very rare model is this........................

5000 evo 1's were made in 1992 to 1993.
around 7000 escort cosworths were made between unofficially 90-1991 and officially 92-96.
big difference between the numbers made if you take into account theres 9 more evolutions to add to the mitsubishi pot compared to the escort

Quick Reply: My mate just chopped his Escos in for this....
