the spec of the engine is more relevant to an accurate answer, but u need to retain some back pressure, if u just put a streight pipe u will loose power, however if ur a turbo charged engine u will gain power.

i will be running a cammed a throttle bodied engine!

i will be using and back box but shorter pipe work so in theory getting the exhaust gasses away quicker! so i should be getting more power??

on turbo's you want a relativly small diamiter manifold to increase preasure before turbo, after the turbo least back presure the better.....

and by smaller diamiter i dont mean stupidly small, just like standard or MAYBE a little more, but not too big or there wont be enough preasure
