mate, gutted for ya, but fancy buying a old ford which sticks out like a sore thumb, then not spending 100 quid protecting it
hope you get it back, i have rung a good mate in basildon to see if he sees anything,

id say there is members on here that could be behind most stolen cars, it sounds like bollocks to you but when i poasted about stolen cars and i had info there was info about some members from the past stealing cars now work that one out..........[/quote]
i know you are spot on especailly around the kent area, i will certainly be more carefull what i post in the future since my 3dr was stolen, obviously we are all enthusiasts (spelling) and when we buy a new car we want to show it off and tell everyone the spec, security etc.
Its like online shopping for them.
anyone that wants to know go and speak to the beat officers at St pauls cray they will tell you who they are where the parts are kept etc but be able to do very little, just got to hope there day will come.

the site it self obviously no but as you said cosworths are big money so where better to do your shopping, as i said what i found out after mine went missing has put me off getting another at present.
Its bigger bussiness than you think right on my door step.
lets hope this chap gets his car back but if its left to the police they will do nothing and send you a letter saying sorry youv been a victim of crime, im not bitter but its bollocks people work hard for what they have for scum to steel it whether it be a car of a £100 or £100,000.

my mates old man told me of a place not far from brands hatch where the travellers specialized in nicking performance fords about 15 yrs ago and he went down there to get some bits for his 1600i ,,he reckons it was in the woods and there was a little moat thing around it and you had to put boards down to drive across ...also he said you wouldnt beleive the amount of rst and mk1 mk2 escorts and cossies was unbelievable

is the demand for cheap cossie parts that great? or are the parts remaining within the criminal community?
Surely a big part of it is the demand! if people refused to buy suspiciously cheap parts or parts from dubious sources then the demand would go down. sadly ebay has made it soooo much easier for scum.
Rs baz yes you are right that orion parts are worth a bit but surely not to the original thief but the fence? unless your saying that thiefs are soo confident of getting away with it that they nick and sell on the goods at full price themselves rather than passing it on to a fence who passes the goods onto contacts he knows?
I wish the thiefs had the guts to come on here and explain thier actions but we all know they wont because all criminals/CHAVs/Pikeys etc are fundamentally COWARDS! Although im sure some of them think they are heroes.
What can we do? We can never totally stop them accessing this site and to stop posting about cars kind of ruins the site! maybe a vouching system like on some other sites. might stop a lot of young members gaining full access and obviously its weakness will be that some thiefs are also own performance fords but it will eliminate access for some.
Just seems pathetic the police wont do a thing. will they give details of who these scum are? before long what choice other than vigilante revenge will we have? What choice do we really have? the more police do nothing, the more cars get nicked, the higher our insurance costs and the more decent security costs. eventualy it will reach a point where people just cant afford it. or maybe thats what the police want? Does make you wonder if refusal to tackle car crime is part of the governments hate campaign on drivers!
I guess the only solution is gated commnities and south africa style defence measures. obviously only the middle class will be able to afford that though. Shows you how fucked up the UK has become! I know if i had a lot of money id happily pay to live in a patrolled community etc so that you can sleep safe that your motor will still be there when you come back.

lol only thing is unless you buy your parts new your all funding the criminal world as most parts on your cars are prob stolen they reckon 45%of rs cars on road a ringers so most of us are prob driving stolen cars with out even knowing i got a q plate so someone lost out there somewhere end of day ive always had at least 6 rs's at a time and no ones ever nicked one of mine if you all spent money on securing them instead of polish they wouldnt go walkies as much no dis respect but come on you might as well give them the keys and as for the bit about age of thiefs they could be as old as our parents lol

its quite some sweeping statement to say most second hand parts are stolen! im sure some are but theres enough legitimately broken cars out there as well as stolen ones!
And the comment about polish is daft! Yes this orion was insecure but theres plenty of cars on this site that have been nicked lately despite full cat 1 alarms, multiple locks etc!

a tracker wont save some cars as the police wont follow them everywhere. that 3 door he knew who nicked it and probably where it was, so how would a tracker have helped?

have the policeb told you some boys who rent one of the units on our farm had your orion i caught the thieving scum towing it in at 9am yesterday morning so we called the police and they raided there workshop and found a stolen escort turbo cabriolet black one i cant tell you the plate as was not on it but had a big set of alloys on it
and they took 2 van loads of engines and other parts so looked like they had been doing it for a while they bpulled a white saffy cos out aswell g43 something on the number plate the rest was snapped off the police have arrested people in conection of it all so looks like it is a good new year to a few of us as thats 3 oldschool motors that are coming back whoop whoop
i cant believe mine have been sat under theyre noses and they aint touched them thank fuck i will be locking them away now though thats for sure

cheers bud i got it bk yesterday (12th january) they foned me the night before and told me. if they have all my sub that would b handy lol wouldnt mind all that back. they even stole my spongebob people
lol. damage aint to sad passenger side lock has been smahed to bits so got dent there. boot look is missing and now has scratches and obviously the contents of the car has gone. but she is in a yard and will hopefully start at the end of the month. any gearboxes about on here s2 box would b nice i would like to say again thanks for all ur support has been much appericated. 
if i can help any of u guys in any way let me no!! thanks again

They mite come out a little bit but they are propa deep. Not to fussed I am hopin to have it sprayed up soon same colour. Its in need of a good spray job. Jus money atm lol oh yh forgot to mention that it cost ME £220 to get my car bk!!! Now I really am skint. Such a joke but she is home now
