With my iphone contract up next month, i'm not sure i wanna upgrade to a 3GS ( just fancy something a bit different to be honest) and have been looking at google android

Who uses this, can you get free apps etc, and how would you rate it?

Also, which, in personal opinions are the best phones (hoping to stay with O2) Don't know if it actually matters which network you are with, or if you can just upload the OS to the phones which will take it?

Any help?

i use an HTC magic by android, on vodafone and its a cracking little phone, most of the decent apps are all free
