Default just fitted a burtons hydraulic clutch kit

hi guys

just spent to day f ing around with the t5

i went down to burtons and picked ups some new parts for the car

t5 hydraulic clutch kit
new dust plate
hydraulic clutch hose kit
and 5 meters of blue silicon vacuun hose

so i rush home and get right to work

open the box and start to strip the gearbox down to fit the hydraulic kit

well there was no info on how to fit the kit or how it go's together

so i start with the box i remove to 4 bolt and remove the shaft cover

then put them togther and fine i need to remove the bearing cap thing and refit it to the new hydraulic clutch doonut thing

so ive done that and refitted the hydraulic doonut thing

then put the bell houseing back on and then fit the hydraulic push thing

then i start to fit the hydraulic hoses and they dont fit.;-(

so ive come in for a coffee and then gone back out to see what else i can do

well on looking at the gear box ive gone to move it and i put my hand on the shaft and it has some play in it????

i dont know if it was there before but i know everything in the gearbox is brand new

and everything i removed i re-fitted

should there be a little play in the shaft ??????

i just dont know if it was there before i started

Good looking adaptor kit , do yourself a favour tho and run a length of hose upto the bulkhead with a bleed nipple on it ( in place of the nipple on the kit ),save you pissing about under the car .

The kit cost me Ł230
Ł35 for the hoses
and Ł35 for the dust plate

So looking forward to fitting it Monday and making the gearbox mount

It will only be temp as I will be making the exhaust so I have to have everything in place lol

I think you will find its the other way round.

Its a Retro Ford Kit and Burton re-sell it.

The back of the unit is slighty larger than the hole in the bellhousing thus the hole need making a little bit bigger

IMO it's easier to centre push the 2wd.

4x4 is much easier to fit a normal slave cylinder due to the design of the 'bellhousing' (drill 3 holes in the bell housing, grind 3 webs off the gearbox and weld a nut onto the clutch arm).
