Another Mondeo ST TDCI problem
Now im pretty sure i know what this is but thought id check with the masses 1st
The missus has an ST TDCI Mondeo as her every day car. Now she come home tonight and told me it was acting funny 1st thing after start up so i went out after about an hr and gave it a try.
Start the car and it runs on what sounds like 2cyls for about 5 secs during which time the battery light stays on (probably cause the engine is not running quick enough to put it out) so i'm not overly concerned about that.
After the 5ish seconds it seems to run ok, light goes out and it will take throttle. (bit smokey if it's cold)
Car has recently been serviced (all filters inc fuel) about 300miles ago.
Im thinking that it might be the Injectors have gone out of sync????
Who can check and rectify this or is it only Ford that can do it?
Going to be cleaning out the EGR valve this weekend after reading the other thread but i dont think that is this particular problem.
Any help / ideas appreciated,
Cheers

does sound like ur injectors,
vist a diesel specialist, they will reprogramme the injectors and relieve you of around a couple hundred quid, if replacement injectors are needed your looking at a grand and upwards?
