Can anyone recommend a good 3 or 4 channel electric helicopter for indoor use? My Price limit is around £50.

Cheers for any help

you are really not going to get anything decent for 50 quid tbh, maybe something second had, i had a little coaxial indoor heli (Dual main rotor) called a "Centuary spirt" and it was fucking minted, i also have a blade 400 3d and a mini pred 3d, and simply coild not believer how well this little spirt heli flew, almost infact flew itself, and was imo of building and flying models since i was 14 is the best for learning to fly a heli. Within reason its very hard to break, you could fly it into walls easly and it would be fine

If you've got no experience of flying helis then I would recommend a coaxial model.

One of the best is the E-Flite MCX. It's a 4 channel heli but you will need the RTF (ready to fly) version, not the BNF (bind and fly, relys on you using your own TX) as it comes with the transmitter and lipo batteries and a charger.

Search for MCX on Ebay and you will find loads and you should get a s/h one complete and in good nick for £50. The MCX has just been replaced with a newer model so that will have bought the price down a bit.

I had an MCX to start learning, they are very tough little helis and great for getting used to the controls. Spares range from 99p up to a few quid and are readily available if you need them.

it is a good first collective pitch heli but it's not something you can just pick an fly right away.

The MSR is also a good indoor heli but it's still quite new and even s/h are way over £50 hence why I did not mention it.

Just avoid the £20 'toy' helis that are around as most of them will fly badly and spares will be had to come by. Going with a known brand such as E-Flight means you get a quality product with good spares availability.

I do like the idea of a challenge, i dont want one that is too easy to fly as I would get bored easy if so.

You would get pretty pissed off in no time if you crashed all the time tho, and forking out 25 quid a time for a set of blades or worse becomes a right pain when all you want to do is fly

up your budget abit and buy a Elite Blade MSR they are awesome fun really forgiving just power down if you think your gonna crash i've ditch mine over 100 time into alsorts and the most i've broke is blade grip and it cost me £3.00 for a replacement spare pair

I can now fly mine on the advanced setting all round the house land on everything and not crash (bought an extra 2 batterys aswell)

I've applied what i've learnt to fly my larger Heli and its helped no end

the hardest part about learning is fly it towards you (nose first) as the controls are all reversed if you can master this then you'll have no probs

The other great thing about the model shop in lancaster is they let me test fly 3-4 different models to see which i liked and got the hang of

If you get stuck your welcome to come try Blade MSR out
