Default help fault code: P0170 (bosh) on citroen berlingo

hi, we got a citroen berlingo 1.9 n/a diesel, it has an intermitant fault that brings up the engine warning light but only for a few mins.

ive checked with our computer & came back as fault code: p0170 (fuel trim) wtf is that lol. it says check for intake leaks & exhaust leaks close to intake so egr etc all fine. checked injectors aswell, only thing left is fuel pump but im doubtfull it is that,

anyone had any experiance with this particular code?

cheers nic

o2 sensor is part of that system
so anything causing a rich or weak mixture could flag that error code, or indeed a dead o2 sensor

Thinking back to my Citroen days it could well be the needle valve on number 4 injector. It comes as part of the injector. They are not advanced enough to have Lambda probes lol.

Is it a early berlingo with a Xud engine or a later one with DW8 engine????

as said fuel trim covers alot of things anything that can cause the o2 readings to be outside the parameters really.
