if you could design your own turbo charged engine,how would you build it ?

Thats not how engine design works...

You start the process by deciding on the purpose of the engine.

From there you can pic a spec to deliver the performances required.

fair enougth,more details required?
make it a high power turbo engine,say 600bhp.4 cylinder for 1/4 mile and top speed runs.

OK - but your now asking for a lot - top speed and 1/4 mile are very different disciplines.

4 cyl, 2000cc turbo that has to do 600 and be used for all disciplines.... i wouldnt bother designing one mate, just get a stroker evo on a 3586, job jobbed.
