Is my water pump foobared (Escort)
On my runnabout Escort 1.8 1998, should the water to the header tank be pumping around continuously even from cold, as I just pulled the pipe off and it aint.
It doesnt get hot at all but the reason I was looking is the temp gauge is a bit dodgey

what pipe are you meaning?if its a small one at the top of the header tank then on some cars it wont pump water until you rev them up!
If you are not loosing any water,cars not overheating and you have no rumble noise from your cambelt area i would say all is good!
