Don't know about the rings but older diesel 1.8(ford) followers fit straight in cossie head, and are shim adjustable.

They will only fit with Pikes Peak valves & a WRC bonnet mate.

you will need special valve springs to allow the valve lift you should be aiming for
we do a kit as long as you have pocketed pistons
cams lifters and springs
