Default How do you clean an expansion tank?

as above,bought one fromebay,and although its says the partswill be cleanedbefore it is shipped,it is dirty? so any of you have any tips? thankx

Handful of rice, cupful of vinegar and a bit of bleach for good measure. Good fucking shake (wear eye protection) and that should have it sparkly in no time.

Either that or a dishwasher if you have one

50/50 bleach and HOT water. Put a metric assload of pebbles in there. Seal well. Shake violently for some time. If you know someone who works in a paint store get that puppy in a paint shaker!

Personally I got the advise using rice some time ago... I am AMAZED how effective it is together with some heavy duty cleaner or thiner.
