I was pissing myself laughing. I'd much rather watch the entertainment Top Gear provides than some boring show full of facts and figures: if I wanted that I'd use the net or buy a car review mag.

But did you honestly find it funny even though they've done it to death and you knew EXACTLY what was going to happen or are you a new viewer? When the they made an arse of building the car, car ran out of puff, car rolled down the slope and they held up traffic, etc, etc it was like watching a repeat on Dave

Pound to a pinch of shit if they reviewed cheap affordable cars it would be boring as hell and be binned like old top gear and fifth gear.....Also the point that it is an entertainment show now and has been for ages is being missed??
Yes you know whats going to happen but so what nice to see some f*cking about on telly instead of soap opera and reality crap

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
thats pretty much sums it up for me too
thought tonights show was pretty poor, we all know they are useless at building stuff
i think james may should do them sort of projects (properly and on his own) leave the larking around to the other two.
Still really enjoy the road trips they do and they are still funny mostly.
value for money from your license fee? hmm well that could be argued against and i suspect this series will be somewhat less on big stuff due to recession and cuts

i agree if you don't like it don't watch it,i don't like watching the news before match of the day and then when knowing the scores watching the motd, kinda spoils it.
Tg's been samey samey for a while but the reason i'm posting on this is because someone earlier mantioned the gimp Hammond and his spectacular crash.
Anyone with a idea of motorsport and self preservation would not drive a car that has a open rollover bar which if rolled would dig into soft soil, its pot sui imo,i would not drive that dragster unless in a roll theres a solid roof above my head which has a roll cage too, there would of been much less damage to his bonce if the car had been unable to dig into the soil thus him nutting the ground and the obvious happening.
just to let you know i got his (hammond) autobiography for xmas 07 and upset my mrs by saying it was shite, she gave it to another relative last xmas and i only read about a 3rd cos he's a overdramatic nob who hams it up even when he's not on TG.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Love it its better suited to being on after 9 too they can get away with some of the more tongue in cheek stuff.
if you want to know what real cars are really like to drive there are plenty of places to fint that info out, or even book a test drive?
leave topgear the way it is and see it for what it is!

i think alot of people are missing the point with top gear, it is a car theamed entertainment show, a show that even my missus will watch as it has something that will appeal to everyone (present company excused, lol) unlike factual car shows like 5th gear etc.
I dont think I can remember a show where I havn't thought 'how cool is that' or 'I would love to try that' etc
it can be a little predictable at times, but on the whole its better than 90% of the other crap that is on TV these days

I laughed out loud at a couple of bits this week - When the electric car ran down the hill, and when he drew a cock on his face. Proper predictable childish humour, but I find that kind of stuff amusing. It is very 'silly', and if you don't like silly, go and read a bus timetable - plenty of factual stuff in there.
It has got more 'staged' as of late, so the jokes are a bit telegraphed, but even then it still makes me laugh.

great show love it, where else can you see new supercars having the tyres burnt off them..
cant understand how a person would spend a whole hour of their lives watching something they dont like, then go moaning about it. use the channel change button!

i enjoy watching it but it hardly has me in stitches or laughing out loud
but it does put a smile on my face i suppose
nearly all if not all the "funny" stuff is staged obviuosly

I watch it but the more time goes on the more I find myself drifting off because I know whats going to happen next. Does that make me old and miserable? Who knows, maybe I have more than 3 brain cells but I think its far too predictable and they need some new writers on it. Seems like every episode is written by Clarkson and it worked at first but has now got to the stage of boring. Its the same charade but with a different car(s). I think they are struggling to find new thngs to do to be honest.
That said some of the races can be entertaining. I liked the one with the bike, jag and steam train. The Skyline in Taiwan race was good.
It just needs a shake up to be good again. Ditch the crashing into each other, holding up the motorway and London style jokes and think of something new.

If thats all you need from a motoring programme then you'd be better off watching Bangers & Smash on M&M.
My problem is you can see it coming, takes the humour away from it.
I did enjoy the slow mo thing last night though, made me laugh. Something new and funny, just needs more of that.

Er, who?
Oddly, that's what I find funny though. Even though you so know it's coming, it still makes me laugh, partly because May looks genuinely cross when they do it.
Back in the day when i worked on Revs and we did the 'Dogs Of War' Challenge, we did exactly the same thing. Maybe it's just the memory of that that makes me find it funny.

It's the same old shit on passionford every week!
If you don't like Top Gear, don't bloody watch it!! Grumpy old buggers
What do you want it to be? Less funny, like Fifth Gear?? Oh that's right, you all moan about that too
Personally I think it's hilarious and will always be watching it as long as it's on.
