Default PC help again!!!

I had to recover my laptop after a update went wrong. Since i have a problem where i keep getting time out messages and unable to connect to server. i can go on ebay fine but as soon as i search it fooks up, if i refresh straight away,it usually works, but it wont show any pictures in the search results page when it does load, (shows pics on home page etc) if i click on a listing, it loads up all but the description (titles, postage, user id etc)

doing my head in, any ideas?

Running vista, wireless to netgear router

Sounds more like a problem with the browser than the network. Is it only happening on ebay?
I'd start like this

If your running IE:
Run all obligatory virus/mal/spyware scans, check all security settings are ok, if your unsure, reset standard settings.... tools\internet options\advanced\ reset

Failing this try diagnosing any connection problems, again click tools then diagnose connection faults.

not done out yet but, just looked at connection map and it shows link to router but no link from router to modem, would that suggest a modem fault or could it be router not able to pick connection due to fault?
