Its to do with car insurance
the thing is, can someone set me straight about somthing
most insurance companys if you have fully comp you can go tpft on another car if that car is insured. its this true

If you have fully comprehensive insurance in your name you are legally allowed to drive any other car that does not belong to you on third party cover only. That excludes hire cars, courtesy cars and anything to do with motor racing or time trials as per norm

I had to wait till I was 25 before ANY insurance company would let me drive other cars on my policy.
What is also very interesting is that Norwich Union Direct do a TPFT policy that also covers you to drive other cars TP - not sure if any one else does a policy like this but they quoted me before I was 25 too!

As said alot do, but alot dont!!!!! For some reason greenlight wouldnt insure me to drive 3rd party. Their reason was to do with the mods i had declared on the fez Also wouldnt protect my noclaims till i was 25!!! or was it the other way round cant remember now

Im an old git so dont have them problems anymore.
In 20 years of having fully comp insurance I have always been covered to drive other vehicles TP only. Seems like some have tighteded up

Nuts, it depends ENTIRELY on your individual policy and so you need to contact your insurer before doing so. There are not that many who do DOC (driving other cars) extensions and you'd be surprised how many folk drive other cars with zero cover because of this misapprehension.
