Which one?
2 cars exactly the same spec colour and condition. Both have full serive history.
Car 1 is a 2003 03 with 44,000 miles on the clock. 4 owners
Car 2 is a 2005 54 with 78,000 miles on the clock. 1 owner
im not going to say what the car is as this thread is not for people to voice their opinions on a certain car
All i want to know is what people would rather go for, newer car or lower milage.

Ie if its a ferrari the 4 owners but low milage is the better seller and choice as thats normal, if its a everyday runner then the one owner higher milage would be the choice

I was thinking car 2 myself. I just wanted other peoples oppinions.
We do avarage milage, i just worry which one would be better to sell on in 3 years?
No chance of telling what the previous owners of either of these cars are like as they are both at garages! They are both priced below what parkers states.

Then higher miles one owner, backed up by a decent condition, full service history, with bills and recipts etc

Car 2 for me. Buy it on condition going on the points i made on the other thread about how they wear.
The mileage is higher than others in your budget its all subjective if either has had a hard life. Not sure what the residuals are likely to be in another few years either. I'd like to think they would hold reasonable value though against normal ones as they were produced in relatively low numbers in comparison to run of the mill stuff.

Car 2 but you have to look at both...
1 owner helps as long as the owner looked after it which you will only tell by examining the cars.
Mileage can be adjusted in 30 seconds and about 40 quid so i wouldnt go with mileage unless it has comprehensive history.
