chipped xbox's banned from live
My mates just phoned me and everybody's chipped xbox console's have been banned from xbox live has it happened to anybody on here?

Everybody round here got banned last night around 12 o'clock it only happens when it connects to xbox live apparantly no matter what version of the software your running i'm only saying what they are telling me most of them went out to gamestation to get legit machines and a legit copy of cod modern warefare 2 and 12:30 this morning

has something to do with the fact that all new games are coming with increased security against chipped xboxes ........... so you will need to have it re-chipped agian

They have no new software that is 100% safe yet and even consoles running old software have been banned i know a few people that do this and apparently they are nowhere near cracking this lastest wave of ban's they have been out to buy legit machines they were all running the latest software as well i have ps3 not xbox so i was just curious to see if it had happened to any of you guys as i know there are alot of xbox players on here

The new games that are out now like mw2 are known as wave 4 and people are finding it hard to stealth patch the new wave of games with the older software, the machine itself doesnt get chipped, it just has the dvd drive flashed with a pc which removes the existing oe firmware and changes it for a modifed type to allow you to play backup games, which was supposedly legal but by the look of the amount of banned users this isnt the case.
