ill admit cod is a good game, i still play league matches on cod 4 now, but the new one is shit for what they have done with no dedicated servers

and cod isnta patch on battlefield series, im still playing battlefield 2 and it kicks the arse out of cod

cod is just single man game no teamwork, battlefield 6 man squads who work together he imense

and battlefield bad comapny isnt classed as a battlefield game, battlefield games are pc based and so much more together, battleifeld bad comapny 2 comes out next year for xbox etc, but therebringing it out on pc and its a tottally different game to what the consoles are getting

that will knock all of the cods off the charts as this game has been in devleopment for 5 years or more now

 

I still bought and play cod 4 on 2 formats, and will prob buy 6 soon, but just making observations that people are raving about it, but there are still better/different games out there IMHO ...

Where is doing COD 6 at a sensible price then?

 

well i went to the pub this eve, Came out of there at 11.30pm, then thought id pop to Tesco to get some cash, then went to the entertainment section, Saw the queue & laughed LOL!.....then went into town at 12am, Laughed at massive queue's outside Game (there was 2 game shops open), Gamestation & then i just walked in too HMV where i had pre-ordered & paid for last week & went home....Was home by 12.15 (I had to queue 5mins max as the person infront of me was buying a L/E COD 360 lol).....I have only just turned it off lol....Can't wait too play some more tommrow!

always preferred the BF series to the COD series due to bigger maps,paced gameplay etc. As already mentioned, the small maps are good for 5v5 teams on ESL etc but for normal mp they just dont cut it. I might go and get a copy later for sp but thats about it. If i ever play online i use COD mp for noob tube rpg action much to the annoyance of the 10yo yank/irish kid screaming over chat

waiting for this to come out. although its console and still has a few flaws in the beta stages it should be good

i was a newbie really when i got COD 4 (when it first came out) & i got hooked easily lol.....


But having said that, its mainly about playing it Online which is the best thing about COD series.....

I have only done a few missions last night, not played it online but im loving it so far!

hence i play cod 4 online everynight on pc on pro mod servers
i dont use public servers anymore as its just too easy with all the perks

and it still is a single man game,

you carnt join squads for a start
the maps are small so its just total chaos
no skill, people just use noob tubes or martydom
air strikes wipe out 90% of the team and the helicopter will just take loads out, you carnt even control them

thi is why battl;efield will always be a winner as you can do everything, fly planes,helicopyters, drive tanks jeeps, quads, boats, be a commander control artillary, 6 man sqauds who work together

you dont seem to understand that the majority of fps players (on pc anyway) dont want to drive tanks,boats and helicopters etc if they did they would probably play grand theft auto.
call of duty is all about battle at close quarters it takes good aim,quick reactions and a bit of a brain and good teamwork if your playing proper matches

Just cos you're on promod servers, doesn't mean they're good, most of the ones I go on i9 wipe the floor with everyone, there's only a few that i get raped on.

I picked my copy up from Markro's in Enfield this afternoon. Apparently they had people queuing from 5.30 this morning !

I walked in and they gave me there last PS3 copy (although they had about 50 shite-box 360 copies), and I handed over a crisp Ł20, yes Ł20 note !!!!! BARGAIN !!!!! no pre-order, no gimmicks, CODMW2 for Ł20, been playing it all afternoon, and have been like a kid in a sweet shop at my bargain find

 

thats because they probably had far more xbox copies to begin with seeing as they be expecting far more people playing it on xbox than ps3

Can someone record gameplay and stick it on youtube? ive been looking for reasons to get a 360 or ps3 but all the trailers on youtube are just teaser trailer or e3 demos

 

just get ps3 mate no need for a Ł40 a year subscription blu ray player,just get your self a psnetwork gamertag and away you go ps network is going from strength to strength

 

Now up to level 30 on the PC and loving it. Though I'm really disappointed that they haven't removed the jump ability of the game as it is not required and would stop the tw4ts hopping around.

The throwing knife are an odd but fun addition.

 

I also think it is still very laggy compared to the PC and 360 online play, though they will hopefully sort this over time. If I had the choice to play it on my consoles I would pick the 360 and take the hit on the Ł40.

picked up my copy last night from sainsburys - had to fight with the staff as they apparantly dont sell electrical products after 10pm - the time was 10:05 and i phoned before i left

depends what your used to playing with. i was playing it up a mates last night on his ps3,cracking game but the ps3 controllers are just god awfull for these kind of games.if you have both machines get it on the 360

 

I agree, its about time sony redesigned the playstation controller as it was never originally designed to have the analogue sticks on it! The only thing I find it okay with is driving or footie games.

 

I like playstation pads but ive always had playstations i dont like x box pads

 

Depends on what your mates have got it on. Most of my mates have got it on PS3 so I went with PS3 so you can play them online and have some banter over bluetooth.

 

I bought it for the XBOX purely because I know a lot more people who play it on XBOX Live than on PSN.

I've never really been into it that much to be honest, and haven't owned any of the previous games, but a load of mates kept telling me to get on it as they're always on it on XBOX live. Always resisted getting COD4, but thought I'd take the plunge with this one, as whilst they're still all way better at it than me, it seemed a more even ground to get the new game when it came out as no one else had already completed it, got all different new multiplayer maps etc etc etc.

It is good, no doubt about that.

Everywhere now seems to have sold out of XBOX copies though, but plenty of PS3 versions everywhere I've been.

 

Also, I think I prefer the XBOX controller for FPS games

Ive never understood the no bunny hopping rule on battlefield games, i mean if you can easily do it yourself then who cares? its not like its a cheat that nobody else knows about
