Missing a car...
is something I do not tend to do.
I've had LOADS of cars and even more bikes but I tend to sell them on quickly and I never look back.
Whilst looking through some topics on here just now I spotted an underbonnet pic of someone with a rather large turbo and all of the sudden I miss my Maserati like crazy!
It's the weirdest thing...I sold it a while ago because I just didn't use it and it was way to perfect to use really lol and now I miss the the low seating, the rumble of the exhaust and the sudden surge of power when the turbo's kicked in...
makes me just a little sad...

been there mate, thing is when you have it it is just frustration not getting time or weather to use it, then when you sell it you think how good it was to take it for a blast.
I sold my last S1 for that reason, didn't need the money or the space, but got sick of not getting chance to get out in it.
I was gutted as it drove away looking stunning and knowing that was the last time I would see it, but it was the right decision for me to make and went to a few good homes afterwards with each owner giving it the care I had shown.

The thing about getting another one is: there were only 130 and the odd few ever built...so chances of finding one are rather slim.
Apart from that I had one wich was one owener from new, FSH, officially imported in a rare colour and nearly pristine condition.
In other words: any other car won't be able to live up to the old one....dumb bastard me!

I know how that feels i sold my ultra mint gti-R to get married and i cant find anither like it,which is why i'm coming back to ford and now my mate's been and got my old car for a steal at Ł1400 i'm gutted it needs a possible rebiuld but its still really clean i'm gutted i will have to see it again with somebody else driving it
Live and learn, good excuse to go and test drive something fancy and see what thrills it gives you. I live by the rule that if i think i should sell a car i ask myslef, "would i buy another one" if the answer is yes then i just keep it, what's the point in stressing after it's too late and going thru the hassle of finding another one that will probably be fcuked and never live upto the old blinkered views of the last one you had. Just take comfort in the thought that it's probably broken down and some poor sod has probably spend a small fortune mantaining it, with any old/classic car, chances are that's true.
