Good stuff. You First Aid trained? Ive only ever done the basic course which is just CPR. Id like to do the whole course though.

yer i've done the course, but i think the date's run out, but in circumstances like that....i dont think having a certificate matters in that situation, when your one of the only ones who knows what to do etc...
its not the first time i've needed to use it and im sure it wont be the last!

Oh yeah for sure. Its a good Quali to have. Can always make the difference then in a bad situation.
Was it the full Course you did?

The full course is several days and goes into cuts & bleeding, burns and broken bones etc!

St Johns have insurance that you are covered under once qualified, IIRC it covers you for upto Ł10m or something.
In reality anybody who sues you after you have helped them is a nobber, but you just never know.
I imagine your covered for what you were taught. I did a 4 days initial course, then refresher day every 2 years.

If you pulled someone out of a car and caused them paralysis then your gonna get sued.

A couple of people dragged him out the car, he didn't get himself out, the car wouldn't turn off due to the turbo timer and petrol was pissing out so they dragged him away then the car cut out

They told us on our first aid courses that there has never been a successful case against a first aider for giving first aid. Its not like USA where they have needed a samaritan act to protect people giving help like that.

wouldnt surprise me if not, seems idiotic risk taking and stuff like no seat belts go together. When i was on carpark at work it was almost always the case that about 80% young people wernt belted up on approach to car park road. Some of them despite having young kids of thier own.
