Default Blade type adjustable ARB's

Is anyone on here running these?

I've only just come across them (yes I know I'm a bit slow catching on). I'm just curious to know why they're not more commonly used. They seem to be a fairly straight forward practical solution or am I reading too little into them? Also what are the blades themselves made of? A grade of spring steel?

Cheers guys

I wonder if he meant me while i was typing the 1st reply .
I dont have the Metalurgical answers to that question but i do know that the ends of the bar are a turned Billet which is let into the Seamless tube used, thats why these are £300 each plus the vat .the rest of the kit comes out nearer £500 for the drop links, blades and chassis brackets .

Ah! I realised that they would be expensive.. But hell. Might look at it as an engineering exercise in a few years time. I have found a link here http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118878 with a little more info.

The sway bar material is best to use T45, not too sure on wall thickness etc and the blades are made of an annealed spring steel EN 19 or 24

" Best " to use , mate i would study a bit more before you take whats written on internet open forum as Gospel , thats a discussion between racers and not a cast iron recipe ,you'll see the discussion about the pitfalls lower on the page

As for prices, yes £800 plus the vat is about the going rate for the 909 bits , if you need these parts for a race or rally car then thats the value of them , if youre ticking the box because you fancy it then thats a different matter and you can weld up bits of old stick to make it look right i guess if it doesn't matter.
