Default Reshell or Not?

Hi guys,i am having a bit of a dilemma at the mo with my s2.ive had it since feb and done a bit of work to it but after finding i need a bit of welding and the roofs knackered im losing the drive to finish it cuz of lack of funds.I love the car to bits but am thinking it would be cheaper to reshell it into a popular,But then it wouldnt be original, and there are good points to the car. What do you guys think? Pics can be found here in my rest thread. https://passionford.com/forum/restor...6-09-09-a.html

i dont know, from the pictures it looks bad but not dead. it depends on how much welding is going to cost. take into consideration how much a new shell would cost and how much it will devalue it. and its hard finding perfect shells now aswel.
thers a thread called 'dont judge a book by its cover' and i think he should possible reshel haha. but you have commented it so i know youve seen.

cheers for the comments so far guys,i reckon with the c/f roof and other parts i need plus tools etc and paint for the inside, its going to cost 2k maybe a bit more to get it back on the road, and then the exterior would look a bit tatty, but i suppose it would be on the road.the car owes me nearly 2k so far altogether.

Do the welding yourself if you are not already, it's just steel, nowt to be afraid of. Will cut your costs a lot and ain't hard to learn.

Please ignore me if you're already doing your own welding

That shell doesn't look that bad at all to be honest. I'd repair it rather than re-shell it.
