Default can alloys been machined to change offset?

i have a set of compomotive mo's 5 spoke and i wanna change the offset
i want the face that bolts to the hubs machined down by 5-8mm can this be done?
im gunna ring comps tomorow but just wondered what you lot think?

i recon as long as theres enough meat on the wheel then i dont see why not?

i need the wheels to sit inboard a little more,
now that ive changed the camber on my wheels they rub on the body work, and last night i went out and broke the rear arch and knocked the bumper off its mount. lol was still a good night tho. lol

No because you wont have enough meat left under the wheel nut insets.

He asked about a Compomotive rim, maybe there was enough left on an RL7 but not on most Comps.

I had 5mm taken off my 10" revolutions (rear only) for a little bit more arch clearance and they were fine

Its easy to work out! You have steel inserts fitted to your wheels, behind the inserts is an amount of alloy, if that thickness is still enough after 5mm is machined off then you are home and dry, if it has around 5mm right now then you know the answer!
