Default HELP!!!

Some scrawny bastard has snapped a screw driver in my door lock and the door wont open at all, how can I get it open to get the panel off to take the lock out? it seems like a vicious circle as to get the panel off i need the door open??

Its a Mk5b Escort 3 door which doesnt have central locking. There is no lock on the passenger side as it has been smoothed but the boot lock is fine, I just dont want to have to climb through the boot every time I want to get in the car, but the drivers door wont open from the inside either.
