Can 4x4 rear calipers be used on 330mmx28mm discs, if suitably spaced out, mounted on custom brackets or is 300mm the max that the calipers swept area can accomodate?

I was just reading an old Performance Ford mag with Brom in it. Says he has 330 rear discs with 4x4 calipers, got them from Mike R. I'd like to know aswell, so I can get some.

We have 300mm discs on 4x4 calipers on the back of the Sapph. I believe the problem when going bigger than that is the thickness of the disc prevents the standard calipers from being used as they are about 5mm thicker discs.
At this point people are converting to 330mm with hydraulic hand brake and 4 pot rear calipers...the ones normally found on the front.
