Hi i have found an escort cosworth and there is a problem with the fuse box is there a common fault with them and is it a straight forward fix to do or how much would it cost to get it fixed by a professional and who would be best person to do it.

Fuse boxes do go on them now and again, when mine was causing problems there seemed to be a couple of diffrent part numbers & I seem to remember ford wanting something stupid like £280 for one as luck would have it we found an escort ghia at the auctions for alot less then ford wanted for a fuse box!

Common but like anything on an escos buy a new one and do it right

Ive heard these are still available from fords but are £500.

Pay it, Its a worthwhile repair!

mate go to the scarp yard find a mk5 escort same box.
done it myself.

many differnt types(variants),just make sure you match up your original part number...yours may be the same as a 1.8lx etc

I paid £200+ from Ford. I've got a spare now too, from a MK5 XR3I, which looks identical.
