Sorry may have miss understood your window licker comment, up here its a nasty comment against the mentally ill and have had that comments thrown at people I know who are ill so probably a bit touchy about that.
If wasnt meant that way fair do's

Christ no, it wasnt meant that way at all!
I meant as in people so obsessed with keeping their cars clean that they would lick the windows to make sure they were clean.
Wasnt a reference to the mentally ill or anything like that!

makes no sense as an investment money wise - but you will get shit loads of enjoyment out of both! even if they are in a garage most of the year!
im bias as i want a 500 in the not so distant future! just the thought driving down the road - hearing that T4 spool up and spool up then kick you in the back! looking down and seeing the plaque telling you that your in a RS500!! you know it makes sense!
oh ................. and RWD over 4WD anyday!

Well ,,,,,, I bought a RS 500 about 3 months ago as an investment only idea ,, and i have turned down 3k clear proffit on it, so this shows that my idea of an investment has worked for me I must admit tho i did buy mine at a good price ,, I think this is the key if you want it as an investment .
Also i arnt realy bothered if it only ever returns me what i paid for it as i just love looking at it , its also a great talking point when people come to my workshop ,,,all i ever here is (is that an RS 500 under that sheet )Can i have a look at it
Its true that you never really apreciate ( spelling ) what a RS 500 is until you have owned one and see peoples reaction to one when the see one
I also have a stunning escoss in another corner of the workshop that i never use much , but when i do i love to drive it , but i think the 500 is the one that will always hold its money
ps, For all that think its stupid to own these cars and not use them much I would rather own them and not use them than just not own them at all

THANKS for all input the topping answer to all of this is that IF I get one for a good price(and by what I've heard so far their out there ) the least I can do is get my money back
and for ME to buy an EVO for 20 plus £££ and then to lose loads of £££££££ in the NOT too far distance . 500 I think will do for me.
Fraz your car looks the dogs dangles m8
Paul thats something that I remember when I was growing up as a kid

I paid £17k for a concours 22k miles RS500 last year and already valued at 23 grand,
