Default 3dr/rs 500 arches

why is it that on GGRs rs500 and a few others ive seen the front arches dont meet the bumper like normal rs500/3drs?? why is this and wot do they gain

the arches are flared/rolled to accomodate the dirty great 9-10" wide rims

if you look on the rear quarter where the fuel cap is, not the standard item, the other side

you will see how flared they are

Hence why the kit doesnt meet the bumpers

all of my inner arches are cut and raised , i.e the rears have no body inner arch at all , the outer 1/4 panel is practically flush with the top of teh inner wheel arch, but it does mean you gotta find a way to fasten the bodykit back on !


dont think ive got any pics , hang on ill have a look , may even show the bodykit modifications as well near where the sides of the wheels sit

not a very good pic but thats got 205-60-15 tyres on so you see the arch clearance, and also look at the forward section as to how thin the arch section is , ive also lifted the rear bumper slightly to compensate for the arch height



another bad example have a look at teh body swage line on the fron wing compared to how high the arch is
