I've use a Blitz dual SBC spec R on my saph.
Nice and simple to set up and works well. Ok it doesn't have as much in the way of gadgets as a lot of the others out there but for me that's a good thing as I'm easily baffled!
LOL!

i got a Apexi AVC-R in my evo and its a awsome bit of kit but just out of your price range, in your price bracket i would get a a Gizmo MS-IBC

If you've got a Mk1 FRS steer well clear of the Apexi AVC controller - a few people have tried fitting them but as of yet no-one has actually managed to 100% sucessfully set one up that works properly with the FRS - and those that have fitted one have had nothing but problems trying to get the controller to recognise the majority of the inputs from the car.
On the other hand the Blitz ID3 & I-Color (albeit maybe a bit more expensive than your budget) do work with the FRS and are exceptionally easy to install/setup.
