Default property advice needed

does anyone know about or bought property through the shared ownership scheme?

i trying to get on the property ladder but unable to afford to buy out right.

i can only afford to put a 10k deposit down which quite frankly is now where near enough.

ive been looking into shared ownership but id like to hear from people who know / deal or have bought in this way.

any info is appreciated

thanks
Mark Lee

Not sure about your area, but around here it is usually shared between either the council or the developer - get in touch with the agent who is dealing with any plot that you are looking at

from what ive read so far your right Graceland, most seem to be council / developer or housing association.

i am just doing research for now but will be aiming for march, ive heard these schemes can take months to get accepted on

I've been looking into it up this way for next year too when the time comes to get a place of my own with the other half. We have decided to go down the route of renting for a year and if the property owner has the option and we like the property then would be making an offer on it - quite a few nice properties up this way with what I would like (big garage or space for one), driveway, bit of a garden etc etc

Might be worth looking at that idea?

ask thrush, as far as i'm aware he's in one now

there is a bloke at work who's bought his flat like this, buys 25% and pays mortgage on that, plus rent to the owners of the other 75%

it's only available in certain developments though and the lower 2 floors of the complex, even though it's a posh pad, have been let out to drug peddaling dole scroungers as per the governments scheme to give them oxygen theives a share of the rental from all new house building developments, so not only do they get to live there for free, your heard earned money that you've used to pay for your gaff is worth shit because the properlty slumps in value by some much

yeah thats something to look at aswell,
i just dont fancy paying Ł800 a month for a 1bed flat with no bills included which is the average round my way.

would rather own part of something rather than none of nothing

Ł800 a month for a 1 bedroom flat

We can get a 3 bedroom detatched pad with a large garage and decent size garden and drive for less than that up here and in a decent area too

Example - Clicky Me

lol, i wish.

sinlge rooms rent for Ł150 a week round here.

i looked at a flat last week in enfiled which was nice but rather small, the owners wanted Ł700 a month with no bills, not even council tax included.

its a joke, i need to be near my work and my kids but renting is so bloody expensive in london

Blimeh - I know London is pricy, but all that money for a shoebox is ridiculous Best of luck getting somewhere decent sized at a decent price in an area that you need to be in
