Default Mk6 Escort.. help needed

Evenin all,

Just got rid of the parentals for the next six months (live abroad) and have been left thier escort to use as a run around...

Have just driven the car back to mine and oh my god if i'd known it was that bad i would have took it off tem early and sorted it out for them.

My questions are,

1) When i took my foot off the accelarator the car pulled to the right? Tracking OKish pulls a little nothing terrible. Poss steering rack?

2) Drivers side wheel locks up when braking heavy in the wet (ABS doesnt seem to kick in)..

3) How do you adjust the handbrake as doesnt work at all?

4) Engine doesnt idle right. Ticks over but is constantly up and down?

Think that'll do for now until i get it in the garage this weekend.

Your thoughts and views really help.

Thanks

Barney

10mm socket at the side of the handbrake lever. Sounds like it needs adjusted at the drums and pos a broken cable

Idle control valve, take it out, clean it or replace it
