"I think I've been scammed"
Thats what I heard coming out of the mouth of the lass next to me at work this morning.
A few weeks ago she told us she had bought some Ugg boots online for £50.
I said to her at the time thats probably too good to be true, and asked her where she ordered them from.
She never did tell me until today.
Apparently the Uggs are still yet to arrive (shock) money has been taken from her card (shock) and she wanted me to have a look at the site and see if I thought it was genuine.

email address: uggoutlet.web@gmail.com
Surely noone in their right mind would trust an online "shop" with a gmail email address?
Wrong.
A bit of the whois on the domain:
UggoUtLet-Web.com Whois Record
( Uggo Ut Let Web ) <- Real clever spacing there

At this point Im telling the girl to change the card that she used for payment, get her bank to send her a statement of recent transactions to see if anything else has gone out...and write the £50 off as a loss, she is never ever seeing any Ugg boots.
A reverse IP on the domain also reveals LOADS of similar scam type sites i.e.
www.british-ghdoutlet.com
www.british-ghdoutlet.net
www.chioutlet-us.org
Do people just not realise how easy it is to set up a scam nowdays?
Have any of you (or your "friends") been scammed online?

get her to speak to the payment card processor with regards to the matter, they will have a record of where the money has gone.
Another good reason why you should only use a credit card online
Also it was only picked up by netcraft in 0ctober 2009, and is hosting on a chinese IP address - screaming out scam to me

Youve got to be pretty gullible/stupid to fall for modern marketing psychology.

That happened to me last year. Was going to a fancy dress so went on a website and ordered sumin. Payment came out of my card. Never been delivered. Cunts lol. Rang my bank like a week later because I knew sumin was dodgy coz the company phone never got answered. Bank couldn't do nuttin for me.
I also at one point last Christmas had 5k stolen from my bank account, paid into a uni in Manchester. If only I could of got hold of that cunt, would have ripped he's head off. I did get every penny bk though. Still love to rip he's head off
