Open cone filters don't work very well on the focus for some reason, they suffer with terrible heat soak. Had one on my old 1.6 for a while and it was crap to drive.
When I used to go to rolling road days etc, some lost power with an open cone filter.
For best power gains fit a panel filter and put one of those wider snorkels on

Bonnet raisers can actually be a bad thing as they disrupt the air flow through the front grille, through the bay and down underneath the car, the way that ford intended it to be done.
As for exact power loses, I can't remember, but the best power gains are given with the standard airbox and a panel filter.

1) The MAF sensor fitting needs a fair bit of dremmeling to get the MAF to fit.
2) The cone is about a foot off the floor and if you don't make a suitable splash guard, you will destroy your engine from heavy water intake.

That's the same induction kit I have mate. Filter sits right behind the NSF for light. If you do go for this kit be aware:

It works very well especially in winter. On a chilly night, pickup is immense. My splash guard is adequate and shields the filter pretty well from any water on the road and there is another guard on my lower front grille to protect from spray. Really doesn't get wet at all but is in a bit of a dangerous spot but I've had it on for almost a year now and it has been fine. What are you looking for ultimately?

Mine was just a sheet of aluminium cut and bent. If you want go, 4-2-1 and a cat back will help. Also have a look at getting a ST170 air box, ST170 intake snorkel and 2.0 auto air deflector. Or alternatively look at things like a BMC CDA or a Pipercross Viper induction kit.
