didnt realise they were that old.

Retro Al 02-10-2009 07:00 AM

Nice find! i reckon they are only good for parts, the floor pans and chassis must be rotten after sitting on wet grass for years

CRAIG HAYTER 02-10-2009 07:56 AM

:wow:good find the rs1600i looks original and no too bad nick to be honest claim for them i know i would be:Ddid you check the milage?:D

Lambchop 02-10-2009 08:05 AM

I'm thinking this isn't really that original a find. Most mk3 escort rs owners find rusty old fords on their drive every day

mozzy 02-10-2009 08:08 AM

i would love that rs1600i

Coldo 02-10-2009 08:09 AM

That 16i doesn't look that bad!

Anymore pics of the S1?

Look forward to the updates on this one, keep us posted.

KSA-Cossie 02-10-2009 08:10 AM

Nice find m8.

Rs Cosworth 1 02-10-2009 09:51 AM

What a waste :(

Grant 02-10-2009 10:11 AM

According to hpi the S1 was purchased 17/6/97 and the 16i was purchased 3/12/92. Neither car ever reported stolen and both had 7 previous keepers.

Whoever bought 2 RS's must have known what they had surely...........

what sort of price is the RS 1600i worth £800- £1000 ???

Depends what condition it is and which of the 16i only parts are left on it

Wheels ;-)/Crossmember and rollbar/tiebar setup/Gearbox/Sensor Lead/Coils/Head/Scheel Seats/Spoilers front & Rear/Grille/ECU will all fetch good money

xrmalin 02-10-2009 04:27 PM

Come on we need the rest of the story

mark.

massivewangers 02-10-2009 04:49 PM

Can't see either being worth a massive amount.

Few hundred. Both look pretty rotten, and I bet they're a mess underneath.

Worth some in bits, but would be a lot of work to save either. If there's an owner, I'd be offering very low tbh.

airbrushfx 02-10-2009 04:54 PM

i'd be after parts off the s1 ;)

puma38 02-10-2009 05:01 PM

cant see them being worth much either, worth doing if you can pay next to nothing for them and break i guess.

would cost so much to restore but i guess ppl have spent shed loads on cars before just to be able to get them on the road again and say they did it.

white2lsr 02-10-2009 05:04 PM

TELL US THE STORY :bat:

I agree. The current owner - if they can be found - would probably be happy with £200 - £300 as it doesn't look like he/she is going to do anything with them and a few hundred quid is more useful than 2 piles of rust.

stucos71 03-10-2009 01:28 AM

So what happened then??

Folks will just lose interest :(

paz_S2 03-10-2009 07:28 AM

Unreal to see whats just left outside to rot. 6 years ago I found a mk2 rs2000 in a wooden shack. Been stood 14 years. Got it for £100
