Default Shall I get these 24" alloys?.....

Got my eye on this set of 24" alloys for my Lightning, been speaking to the guy and he doesnt want a massive amount of money for them to end the auction early. I need 2 new rear tyres for my current wheels which is almost the same price he wants.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Anyone know if handling will be massively different, different enough to not want them? Handles ok at the moment on the 18's (295/45/18 I think, no Lotus Exige but superb for a truck!) but with 305/35/24 will it be a lot worse? Dont want to get them if its going to be completely shite. I am going to be lowering the truck to compensate the ride height if I get them!

my experience with range rovers (used to work at a dealer) is that anything over 22s does balljoints a lot more and the vehicle is pretty heavy so id imagine it would be the same on your lightning.

Mate had a lightning with 22"s and he ended up going back to standard wheels because of the ride and handling depends how much you use it and what for i suppose.

Shouldnt have many problems mate only ££££££££ for tyres ... Gonna need some Big stoppers to fill them ... 415mm Wilwoods might do the trick.

lol!! cheers chaps, i have spoken to the guy and he said the rideheight is 4.5" higher than standard (which is high enough as it is!!!) so I would need to properly sort the suspension out to get the look right, which isnt going to be cheap as parts are limited over here!!

Still a little worried about the handling. Might just not bother and wait for some 20's or 22's to come my way!!
