Default fleabay and advice needed HELP.

I put an advert on ebay to get rid of some mini wheels i had lying around.

ADVERT DESCRIPTON

First off, all the typres are YOKOHAMA's, they are in really good condition apart from the COBWEBS!!!!
Three of the alloys are straight no buckles. The paint work is really good on one, while the other two wheels, the paint is flaking some what.
The fourth and final wheel, needs a refurbishment as its been curbed at some point in its life. I bought them like this, and i never refurb them because i scrapped my mini!

The guy bought out side of ebay because he missed the auction. He had come to view the wheels before hand and he said i'll buy them since he missed the end of the auction.
He rang back up today, saying the forth wheel is cracked!!!

I've no problem in offering a re-fund but i want to know if i'm doing the right thing?!!!

He rang up before i posted the thead, saying that i didn't have sufficent descripton to cover the cracked wheel!!

Cheers you guys are right

He did come to view them, he even said that why he came to look at the damaged wheel.
I had NO clue that damage had been done, and i did say it needed a refurb.

I don't like ripping people off, hence the thread.

if he paid paypal just tell him to return them as paypal will give him the money anyway then he has your wheels and money, if he bought them outside ebay and paid another method tell him to do one

he could have cracked it takeing the tyre off, tell him were to go, he was happy with the condition when he bought them so its his prob

as to paypal, just take the money out and close the account, then theres no comeback on it, just open another in another email account

Well guys, he's just turned up at my door.

I looked at the wheel and sure enough there was a little crack on the rim. He said

'its a dangerous wheel and i couldn't put that on the car like that'

I said no, because it needs a refurb. I said as much in my advert.

He went on to say, a refurb means a clean and a lick of paint?

He then said why didn't i clean the wheels/take the tar/rubber off the wheels so they were immaculate.

I asked why didn't he scrap the tar/rubber stuff off the wheels the other night when he came to view them.
He said he didn't have the tools/knife. I said you saw i had a garage full of tools, why didn't you ask. His reply, 'their your wheels, its your job'

He said they werent sold as seen.

I said, i'd pay to have the wheel repaired out of good faith. He said no, they are only good for the bin.

so, he went off in a huff after i mentioned i'd phone a garage mechanic mate who would tell me if they are repairable or not. Which he would have said aye or nah.

some times i hate people no truly i do

By the way,

I had them on auction
He came to view
The auction finished,
he missed the bid-so didn't bid
he rang me-offered to buy them. (i thought saves me listing/charges)
Cash on collection
-then hassle
