Default external wastegate fitting..?

hi..
has anyone had a problem fitting an external wastegate and had it hit the brake resovoir on a 2wd cosworth.. has the correct spacer fitted in the manifold and take off welded on but looks like it needs another inch moving to clear it...
thanks for any advice..

sort of off topic. ive been thinking about external wastegates when do you need to fit them to a cosworth? do you need to be running huge power?

The wastegate pipe cut and rewelded to avoid the brake resevoir mate. Surely thats the simplist and safest option. Are you sure you have everything on how it should be as thats a pretty standard conversion really?

everything is brand new and i cant see how i could have fitted it wrong as only looks to fit one way round.. ive found in the search on here someone had the same problem that his setup fitted in his saff then when swapped the whole lot over to a 3door it hit the res.. ive pmd him and am waiting a reply.. ill call where i brought it from tomorro i thought it might be a common problem.. its a pain to have it re welded as ive done another 300 mile trip just to get this one.. if i have to have it done then i will.. ill wait on stu @ claims centre to see how he resolved his... dont really want to fit a 4x4 set up..

Had major problems with that on Roosie's 3 door track car, supplied by Reyland, but hit BIG time, it was cut off and re-welded where it didn't cause problems only thing you can do.
His big wing sump leaks though!!
