some random's just called up to tell us that we've won an all expenses holiday for 7 nights

so the mrs called up the number they'd given and they asked about who was going, when we wanted to go, etc

then we had to give out passport details so that only we could go

and that's when we discovered that because my wife doens't have a british passport, she is ineligible to win the prize

so we ordered a pizza instead

then gave us a freephone number
we were on that for about 2 minutes before the bad news

can't do that, she's the one who won the holiday

if it wern't for the internet ban at work and the fact that i have stopped posting about the goings on at work, i think you've been saved about 50 posts a day complaining about stuff

for example, today's hysterics were about keys, and who's supposed to be in charge of which keys and how to go about changing who's in charge of keys which have the wrong coloured tags on them

to add to the confusion, our keys were allocated positions depending on how long they were, so the longer keys were hung on the top post sof the key box and the shorter keys were hung underneath, obviously the long keys at the bottom would prevent the key box from closing properly, but somehow, no one seems to understand that simple theory, so the keys have yellow and green tags and have to be authorised and only handed out in emergencies depending on which colour the tag is and who is authorised to hand them out

and don't forget the pay rise for those who have been promoted to handing out keys either

but never fear, i'm off on holiday in a week or so, so i won't care

they asked if we were all holders of european passports and she isn't and they said that even though there was an 18 month time limit to take the holiday, unless we all had those passports they could not offer the deal

as for credit cards, shit, even the child tax credit people didn't get my bank details when they said "can we pay your credits into your bank account rather than by cheque through the post?"

even though they told me all the details they had of me, which kids were what and how much we claimed for each and stuff like that, i still told them that i would call them back to give them the details
