Could someone advise on cause for air getting into the fuel system which is causing the car not to start, I have to use the fuel primer most days.
Is this a known issue????

I had the same problem.
I presume it normally takes a few primes of the bulb to get started and sometimes even after a few minutes when you have stopped the car running, you will need to prime it yet again.
If so, then go to ford and buy a new priming kit. It has a new priming bulb and fuel lines and cost around £60
