Although I have several over here, I'm not to keen on Breitlings.

I much prefer certain Rolex's and for example Bell&Ross's.

I also really like the Cartier Santos 100 all black and the Rolex Daytona all black.

Gives the old left hook a bit of a boost though

Nice watch Stu, do you know that at most big UK airshows there is a hospitality suite for Breitling owners? Just flash your watch and in you go , free booze and comfy seats

Yeah, I personally love heavy watches but then I have got quite big arms and wrists and like to feel the watch is there, I imagine for some bodytypes it would be a real chore wearing a 220 gram watch. That said, choosing the leather strap could halve the weight.

Buying a good watch is simply a case of moving money, they will always retain some value, between the wife and l we have 2 Omegas a Brietling and a Franck Muller

Daily watch is a Nixon 51-30. Weighs in at about 500grammes with the stainless band.

My fave one? I have a Fortis Flieger chronograph. It's visually unobtrusive compared to the Nixon, keeps excellent time. But feels a bit light and small now after wearing the Nixon so much. I'd hate to sell it but I don't wear it enough.

I have a Bell & Ross BR-01 that needs a strap repair. Not fun to wear. Band is unforgiving.

I seem to be hard on watch bands, hence the Nixon. It's the only thing that would be left of me in an airliner crash. Bulletproof.

Nice watch Stu, I always wanted a Breitling and got a Chrono Avenger M1 about 5 years ago. Love it to bits. I had the catalougue and went though it picking the watch I wanted as I had just come into some compensation money. I didn't know any of the prices and didn't care, just so happens that I picked one of the cheapest they do but I love it as it was the one I liked the look of most. It was out of that and the Navitimer but I thought that model to be too dressy for every day use for me.

I never knew about the whole hospitality at airshows etc. Thats cool, although I will never use it I expect! Mind you it just cost me £450 to get serviced and two buttons replaced so they owe me!

On a side note what do people think of the U-Boat watches?? I like the look of the flightdecks but are they a fly-by-night brand or will they still be popular in the future??

Incredible gift.... they are RIDICULOUSLY hard to buy... huge waiting lists.... they sell second hand for more than they do new!

you have to be SERIOUSLY connected to get a new one... hence I was asking Nick if he could source me one... and he said yes... I asked how much and he replied

'its a gift you spaz'

I almost fell over!!!!

I'm taking him to Nurburgring in October to say thanks... he will get some SERIOUS looking after at the Ring!!!!
