great bit of kit if you know how to use it and the features! also customer service is second to none how many phones can you take back to the shop when theres a problem and get an exchange unit there and then for no cost within the warranty period?. There are other phones out there they all with plus points so check out all your options for what you need.

I've used one and really can't stand it.

Always been a Nokia man, but after trying out the N97, I'm going to wait for whatever comes next as it's not that much of a step-up from the N95 I have now I don't think.

When my laptop packed up I had to use the IPhone for the Internet. Now the laptops fixed I still use the IPhone most the time as it's quicker than turning the laptop on.

I am upgrading to the 3gs in March as it's upgrade time and my son may get my 3g. Best phone I've ever had.

but the fact that i know a lot of peole who have broken them or the screens have cracked and this story about them blowing up cue to the wrong battiers fitted sort of left me wondering if the Ł54 a month i would be shelling out for one, with all the features and insureance etc aded together, was really worth it

the HTC android phones are a decent choice if you dont want to look like a iphone fashion victim, or arent on O2.

iphones are good pices of kit, but no use to me as its too fragile, and with the android range, 90% of the decent apps are all free

I have a 3gs and it makes most other phones look and feel shit

Certainly in my experience of using one it's no more fragile than any other phone with a large screen. I just put on a screen protector and it lives in my pocket or loose in the front of my bag/briefcase. It doesnt even have a tiny scratch on it anywhere yet.

Also the apps you can get free are actually useful in real life situations and not just gagets.

No other phone has such a useable interface with apps or the internet.

Nothing fashion victim about it

Only downside is having to use itunes etc BUT even thats a bonus as the backup\synching features are excellent IF you understand how to get the best from them

Havent got one, neither do i know of any one with one to comment.. But i recently got my self a Blackberry Storm and absolutley LOVE it. Does everything i want/need and there is an apps world similar to the I-Phone.

All this bollocks about being a fashion victim etc .... I waited for ages for the N97 to come out, as I have always had Nokia's and didn't want an iphone. After looking at virtually EVERY phone on the market that has internet browsing and touch screen, nothing even comes close to the iphone for user interface and ease of use. It is simply the best product on the market, and happens to be very well designed. I am also in the RAF, and work as an aircraft engineer, so my phone gets battered daily in my pocket crawling around aircraft, and I have as yet to break it ..

Get the Black 32Gb 3gs, there is nothing else on the market close to it.

i love my iphone, just, everyone has got one now. Plus you do sometimes look like a tool draging your finger alround the screen!

Surprisingly strong too, mines not in a case and is still going strong despite being dropped a few times, had it 12months in october. You do tend to look after it though as it cost me Ł400 odd quid direct from apple. It's 16gb 3g in white cos i'm a girl or at least should've been.

I love mine, dont understand why people think its shite, the internet on my n95 was utter crap compaired to the iphone, and the n95s youtube vids where usless, only thing that pisses me off is the 55 a month bill, and i txt alot, texting on an iphone is mega, cant batter through texts like nothing else before

broke my samsung omina ( load of toss!) so went out and got a 3gs iphone. what a difference. so easy to use. took it straight home. jailbroke and unlocked it. now running on vodafone with no problems. only bad point is if youre on t'interweb alot battery goes down quite quick but then so do all of them.

Had mine 2 days and had to recharge it twice, boy it goes through the power quick when you use it! Seems great so far and I think theres a lot more to be discovered.

Just waiting on 02 transferring over my old number...said it'd be 24 hours but it's more than that already.

I have to charge mine every night, you can buy a battery that give *almost* twise the life of a standard battery, but its not cheap and really needs fitting by someone who knows what they are doing.

Number change over is more like 3-4 days i think matey,

Iphone are spot on, TBH,dont get me wrong i love my iPhone, but im torn between a Ł184 upgrade to something thats more like a phone.

What sort of difference does having the 32gb have over the 16gb? Im due my upgrade next month and will be splashing out on a 3gs but want to know if paying the extra Ł90 odd will be to my benefit or not.

Iv got an N95 8GB now and use virtually none of the space available for storage of music or pictures etc.

You could argue that if you had a capable phone, you're way more likely to use the storage space... so the initial 90quid for double the storage is worth it IMO, saves pissing around upgrading later on (although its prob cheaper?). However I couldn't be arsed and would pay the initial premium for a 32GB if/when I go for one of the 3GS models.

Tip to extend battery life, reduce the screen brightness, it makes a massive difference on my 3gs.

Palm Pre should turn up on O2 in the UK pretty soon, hopefully within a month.

Cant be compared with the iPhone when it comes to applications since the Pre is the first phone using WebOS but that will probably change.
