The big problem is that people love the idea of selling parts and drawing the money, but when the bits need to be sent, they can't be arsed with the agro.
I think most people I have dealt with during the breaking of my car will agree that it was all seen through in a fast and conscientious way. Parts were sent promptly and in a condition that was exactly as described. Sorry to blow my own trumpet, but it's how it should be done.
People getting fleeced is becoming all too common on here though.

Piss take when people mess you about over money on here, it's all down to trust when you buy stuff off people on here as they're often the other end of the country! Supposed to be enthusiasts but happens all the time it seems! I got stung buying a master cylinder off someone on here that i was surprised at but just took it on the chin as it was only Ł25.....told me it was mint which it wasn't at all and bloody leaked when i fitted it causing me a few issues. BUT had some good purchases too so it's a shame when this happens as no one trusts each other anymore

Totally buyer beware.
I am really reluctant to purchase anything unless in person ie. cash for item.
If it looks a bargain there is usually a reason for it!

Agree with this totally especially if they are trying to mug you off giving excuse after excuse as to why they haven't paid!! And a few people are right its happening all too often on here, fortunatly there are still a lot of decent honest people on here. I joined this site as been into my fords for years and have found it helpful and got quite a few decent parts but the small minded idiots that think they can get away with stinging people for a few quid spoil it for the decent honest people on this site, but what can we and the mods do to help change things???

I saw a post in the wanted section for an efi loom on Wdnesday, I contacted Stembo21 regarding it and I sent the item off today, hopefully he will get it on Friday or Monday. I have given him the consignment details that I got from the courier. I have not asked for payment, but have asked that he sorts me out with a turbo loom in place, I am confident he will be true to his word and send one up when he has got hold of one.
It is not the first time I have tried to help others on the forum, I have in the past sent discs out with microcat and other files, but have failed to take anything for them, hoping that when it comes to me needing something, I can be on the recieving end as that surely is what being part of an enthusiasts site should be. or am I being dumb and naive

i wouldnt buy anything off any forum, if its good enough i'll go fetch it myself, or pay a little more and buy it from a dealer.
Seems like all the cocks off ebay have started hitting car sites as ppl on them are far more trusting.
dont think Barryr has anymore excuses does he, nice guy or not he sounds like a cheapskate robbing C##nt to me.

i hate when people do this just makes things harder for the genuine sellers its just plain bang out of order, i found p&p hassle but thats part and parcel with selling parts. unless i trust the seller anything over Ł200 i would pick up in person

the best thing about it it only cost 8 pound to sent something with parcels2go and u can send something up to 55lb in weight.its picked up from the seller with a tracking number and delivered in 1-2 days to the buyer so no excuse really.
