Like most have said a bit quiet but what can you do if its been changed at short notice, i think its always good to see familiar faces and to see everybody making the effort. Well done to everyone who turned out to support there own clubs and the RSOC. Cheers South Wales Group.

well I enjoyed the weekend overall, yes there was some issues but hell they were hardly the fault of the rsoc, they did a great job of putting on the show when it would have been easier to bail out
I liked the autojumble infact I got some great bargains like a brand new set of 1155 cos 4x4 front pads for my track car for 12 quid!! aswell as some new solid rear beam bushes for a tenner!!

least you guys in england get shows to go to.we have ff at crail and pf at crail which are crap.no traders and most rs's dont turn up as its too early in the year as most are still in winter hibernation.knockhill puts on a couple of weekends but theres no major ford shows like in england.

IMO i loved the day
loads of really nice cars and track action was great.
was a little quiet tho and no traders
the concorse area and cars were very bunched but understand it wasnt RSOC fault this time
got raped for a burger tho and it was cold

if it was shit i would say so but i enjoyed myself and considering when i was getting ready to go at about 5.30 pm from donnington the fookin earth movers were driving around,it looked like they was getting ready for action.
met some passion ford members ,rsoc members, escort cosworth.com members, saw plenty of track action,ok not many big name cars but plenty of cars going round, saw the m3 on the start finish straight do a high speed 360 degree spin without damaging anything. weather was good and where the local groups park now is much better as i didn't get my freshly washed and polished car dirty from the dust you used to get.
all in all a nice day out and congrats to the rsoc for putting in the effort

I had a good day, spent most of it on track
I thought the show was no smaller then last year, but there was a lack of the 'big' names on track, not that I was that bothered

Me and the wife went down saturday and made a weekend of it, sat out on the patio at the hotel with a few beers on saturday afternoon in the sun, met up with a few folks later on and went for a curry. Went to the show today and had a good time, was on the S1 display so that kind of broke my day up a bit. Aye, good show had a few things going against it - Date Change, Credit Crunch, Other shows on the same day etc, but was still one of the best shows of the year.
Left Dono about 3:30pm and that's us just back in. Car never missed a beat all weekend. I don't know what people who complain are expecting when they turn up to shows, it's what you make of it as much as what's on display that matters.

god that thing was nice
did look alot of panel damage, though looking from the fence couldnt tell what else
he brought a few smiles i`ll admit
its a british tradition...............
speaking to the bloke and he said it may need a new front chassis/strut etc..aswell as the rear panel, gutted for him as it was very early on.
as for the day, think the RSOC would of had more complaints if they cancelled it full stop.
ok, it was not that good but it was ok considering what got threw at them.

was an awesome day....
you have to support the club with the fact dono are about 6months behind shedule with the upgrades....
Really pisses me off when people say things are rubbish - show is what you make it....
considering the time they were given yes they done good
RSOC was fucked about and everyone shoud have pulled together to support it...instead of fucking moaning....

We have had a brilliant weekend, stayed up last night and met up with a few people for a catch up, then up early this morning.
Had some cool sessions in the `Saph before the gearbox spat it's dummy out again!!! So Dave took Yum out and I was out for my last session in Yum, so driving her round Donnington made up for my gearbox letting go !
Massive well done to the RSOC for pulling it off within the timescales of the date change.
Will be there again next year to SUPPORT the club

Great weekend and really good to meet up with all the regulars
Got 3 laps in the saph and bang at craners 3rd gear had decided no more, just like last year what a jinks
So got it back to the pits and chip said go and get YUM so told the officals that we had changed the car and we was of
Had a great time with only 1.9 bar about 600bhp its just a shame l had to come right of the power at the start of the pit straight.
Then gave the keys to Helen and it was her turn, well done Helen not easy getting in a fast car and driving it fast on track, she pulled away from everyone down to straight towards the pit straight
So a big thanks to the RSOC for putting another great day
All l need now is another box for the saph and going to get a hydraulic clutch system when the new box goes in

It was great as a trackday, very few stoppages, very well run and perfect weather.
Show did seem a bit less special than normal though, but that wasnt really what any of the people I was with were there for anyway so didnt really effect us having a great day.

I almost forgot about that bloke in the green mk2 going sideways!
I was coming down pit straight when he came out onto the track, no prob, ill tuck in behind him, but he immediately starts putting in sideways!!
I bearing down on him at 100mph and he's fishtailing it left and right!
I didn't realise it at the time that he was doing it under full control, I thought he was losing it!! lol
Then he continues doing it round the bend and I start to realise he a drift nut, but how the hell am I going to pass him as he still fishtailing it left and right
Anyways he see me and pulls to the left to let me pass, good lad
Shame I didn't get to see him later as he was pretty good drifting that mk2

Good point Icky, i would not want to be on a track with someone drifting after Silverstone, we had a fucker in a sierra losing it cos he couldn't drift and he started getting flagged,i reckon 10 maybe 5 years ago if you did that drifting bollocks on a track day you would get removed from the premises for being a danger which is exactly what i think that is.
the drifters should have their own session for themselves, it would put me off doing it not knowing if someones gonna purposely slow and flick it around.

Me & Shell had a good day....bit pissed off with the cost of things.....Ł17 entrance fee each then they wanted Ł15 pit pass fee plus Ł10 for the passenger wrist band each which would of worked out Ł84 for us both to get into the show & to have a few laps out on track with friends....fortunately we turned down the cost first time round & went back later when they relaxed the rule & just charged Ł10 each for the passenger laps which was much more acceptable!!
Had a good couple of sideways sessions with Dingy as usual...very entertaining & also went out with Tim...also very entertaining with overheating tyres...eh Tim! LOL!
Definately didnt seem as busy as other years...but I suppose its to be expected seeing as Dono messed the RSOC around!
Good to catch up with the usual faces.
Roll on next year...I might even have a cossie powered car to bring! LOL!

Castle Donnington
travelled down from Glasgow this morning arrived at 10:00 & left at 15:00, I must say the show was EXCELLENT, the turn out of cars was top drawer & a credit to the orginisers of the RSOC, I think they did an amazing job, RESPECT.................

A MILITARY jet engine is around 200db (each engine on afterburn! IIRC - Clearly a passenger jet has quieter engines But I would not bet against them exceeding the noise level at Donnington every time they go over!)

I personally had a great day, good to catch up with everyone.
Paul (North Yorks) 3dr is totally stunning & is a credit, can't wait to see kelv's Escos finished & Dave's new car went very well on track (Carlo's old 3dr)
Well done to the RSOC for putting on a good show.
