Could of been killed today.... read this **with pics**
I'll try and keep this as brief as possible:
I jumped on the M4 motorway and coming down the slip road I noticed a traffic police car behind so kept my speed to about 65-70mph'ish instead of the usual flat of 75.87mph. The traffic was quite heavy.
Anyway, all of a sudden the van started to feel slower and the next thing the handling went odd
The Police car behind then put his lights and siren on and as I looked in the passenger mirror to see who they wanted, my van (high roof, mwb Transit) then started spinning in the middle of the motorway across all three lanes, then went up on both drivers side wheels about 18 inches in the air, landed then spun out again facing oncoming traffic, that just missed me.
I fecking shit myself
I managed to get the van to the hard shoulder somehow and just sat there wondwering what the hell just happened.
The police came running over to me and asked if I was ok and told me the tyre was almost flat and had decided to do one.
They showed me what happened on the onboard camera (after been breathalised) and I almost dropped there and then on the spot (sounds wimpish I know ) It completly spun 4 times and it almost went over on its side and that was doing about 60mph at the time. I think someone was looking out for me today .....
Anyway the Police went round the van and then noticed the rear passenger side tyre/valve had been tampered with. So it works out someone has done it on purpose. I told them I've got a camera on the cars in the garden/road and judging by which wheel and how it was parked, the person who done it must of known this as well. They've just took the video away after seeing something interesting on there.
It makes a nice change to come across decent ones who arent tryin to throw the book at you for menial things.
Heres what the tyre looks like:

thats some pretty mad stuff, glad you got out of it OK though !! I'd definitely be interested in finding out who did it then going to have a 'polite' word with them about the dangers of tampering with tyres

I did ask for a copy and was told no 
I think I know who it was but I'm not 100% sure. I'll see what the Police do first, but they did say as the video is not date/time stamped it could make it harder work. They have said that there not sure what they can charge them with so if they cant do anything then I will. I could of been killed today due to this twat

Shit mate!! thats not good thank fook u ok though mate.So it looks like someone intended to do these or just a mistake of some pikey kids trying to knick the valve cap? though they wouldnt really want one of a Van i suppose?

or u can get a tool that will relise the core bit in the valve undo it slitly and again will let the tyre down slowly

Cheers guys, I've took the day off and the Police have just come back for the wheel and tyre so that will please the miserable bastard of a boss

anyone who works in a tyre fitters/ got mates that do can easily the tool to undo the valves
i hope you find out who the hell it was mate, cos that was a totally reckless act, in the same league as leaving a drain cover on a train track imo, the potential accident it could have caused would have been devistating.

If you just crack the valve off so its finger tight, the air pressure inside the tyre will slowly turn the valve out of the threaded sleeving cuasing the tyre to go down very quickly once its popped out.
