hi peter ! long time no speak.
thing with jags is this......
if you buy new or try a jag specialist they try to take your pants down.
i had a genuine 1994 xj40 sport done 66k miles with history and a nice damaged rear chrome bumper, on ebay they were 150 quid second hand in ok condition and from a few jag specialists second hand they were £125-180 pounds.
i got a absolute mint complete rear bumper from a banger racer for £20 quid and it was minty mint,my car looked amazing with that bumper and the guy who sold it to me was happy he got the price of the car down as it was going round the track and gonna get smashed.
jag breakers like to pay nearly nothing for jags yet want stupid money for the parts,i would say keep a look out on ebay for someone breaking a jag and fire them a email asking for what you need.

well matey i got the feeling they were either a pain in the arse to get hold of or somthing, obviously i would still be interested if available.
i have had jags and really like them but my favourite is a daimler, thats a proper cultured British persons car
theres a jag specialist near me in North Wales Legacy Wrexham, he probably has everthing you would ever need for a Jag, but i would still try to buy one of Super Al or another ebay breaker.
the company near me is this one..... http://www.davidkelly.co.uk/

pete if you come over i'll take you there,i even know guest houses in chester which is about 12-15 km's away from the scrap yard in Legacy Wrexham that you can stay in if you do a couple of days getting parts.
you would fill a transit van no problem, maybe if you talk cash with the place and ask for a discount for bulk buying you could do a good deal.
tbh i find with this scrap yard they do have old stuff there and its the first place i try for older cars.
trust me though its a jag paradise and theres probably 200 jags there for breaking.
