you need to speak to the guy who did it on the fiesta. At least your looking at custom shafts all round, custom rear beam, custom mounts, custom exhaust, custom fuel tank etc etc. Plus remember the transfer box will shit itself when you try and whack massive amounts of power through it
not thinking of huge power, 180bhp max really.
thought it would be possible to use the escort rear suspension set up by maybe shortening the bars, i guessed the shafts would have to be custon made.
the transfere box's arent as weak as people make out. just need to be carful with them.
its hard launches from standstill that kills them

Theres nothing wrong with the rs2000 4x4 rear beam as its actually a very good set up. For simple peace of mind i would be looking elsewhere for transfer box though.
I had a good look into this a few years back and its not cheap to decently sort out the transfer box.
I gave up when i was looking at using the jaguar x type running gear as its designed to fit the ford mondeo V6 engine modified for jag, and should in theory have the right bolt pattern on the gearbox. Also should be strong enough considering its designed to take the power the top line V6 x types knock out.
The system was designed by visteon for jag.
