Actually he's maybe good at turning around dead planes on a desert airport, but when it comes to PROPER driving (rallying), he's just the average US driver. Not to say I'm better because I'm not rallying, but the rally-boys must be smiling while watching these vids !

He was beating them quite convincingly so retired before the end as he'd proved his point and was no need to take any points as he wasnt planning to do the championship and didn't want to screw any 'real' contenders chances.
Cheers,
Grant

Did he not get knocked back for a WRC drive from Subaru. Took the complete arsehole because he knew he was better than the guy they took over him, so to show that he entered a WRC event in a Subaru himself.

And he's 3rd in the US rally champ at the moment, no big deal with probably the most advanced car of the field. Again, he's good at doing donuts alone in his prepared subaru, and doing commercial adverts, but apart from that, he's no better than the average rally driver.
That's what you can read on his official website :
ACCOMPLISHMENTS - Silver Medal - X Games 13 (2007)
- Bronze Medal - X Games 12 (2006)- "2005 Rally America Rookie of The Year"
- 18 podiums and 7 Overall Rally Wins
- Winner: 40 Under 40 Awards, Sports Business Journal 2005
- One of the most influential people (#17) in Sports Business Journal 2004
- Ad Age's Marketing 50 in 2004
- One of the Fast 50 in Fast Company Magazine, 2004

Sorry, but what is his best result in a WRC event ? If he was THAT good, why can't he get a S12 subaru for example and enter en event ? He shouldn't even pay if he was that good because the teams would make him drive.

I'm not saying that he's brilliant, but was more asking if anyone had also heard the story that I put above.. one of my friends told me it, hadn't heard it myself, but its quite cool if its true.
Cheers,
Grant

IF ITS TRUE, yes its quite kewl from him, but still, if he was that great at rallying, he would lead the US rally champ at least, as its not known for its level ! But as a gymkhana driver, no question that's great, never said the opposite.
Also its such a shame that for ColinMcRae DIRT 2 (which seems to be called DIRT 2 now or something), they took Block as their personality. I don't think he has anything in commun with Colin. Travis Pastrana was closer to Colin and he's as good as Ken. Well anyway that's just useless discussion from me there, but just wanted to write my point
