CV - Firstly depends on your age. I am assuming you are not over the hill as you have been in the same place 8 years. If you did tertiary education then I would include uni result as a minimum.

With your 8 years I would detail, job titles which hopefully show a progression so they can see your commitment to the company with going upwards.

Depending on the amount of job titles include roles and responsiblities for each.

Skills and Achievements - Clean driving licence (if needed for the job etc), Team worker, punctual, good attendance.

Training - Any external training such as courses, seminars, extended learning in your own time i.e with computers etc.

Hobbies - the pissed one can be tarted up to be "enjoy socialising and meeting new people"

References - At least one professional reference better with two. Personal references or educational references are ok but only alongside a professional one. Not normally more than two references though.

Max two pages is what I have always been taught. Two references with full address and phone numbers use up half a page though

Important though - tell the truth and make sure you know the CV inside out so if you have any gaps in your employment you can give a good answer at interview.

I can do good attendance but i cant do punctual!! my boss knows im whank at this!!

technically I work 8:15 till 5:00..... realitistically I work 8:20-6:30ish..... hence generally i get let off for the 5 mins!! but he told me off about it when i turned up at 8:25!! so now its 8:15!!! lol

the meeting new people is a good point, and quite key to the job im interested in, so cheers for that.

good stuff on the other info, thanks for taking the time to type it out, been a great help.

another slight query... ive put british passport holder... in other skills/training/awards..... as i need to put it somewhere really so they know im ready to go! is there a better place for it? (also put my clean driving licence here)

I always start with personal info so include name address, DOB, tel number etc.!!!

Then onto Education listing Secondary School, College, Uni

Then Qualifications - GCSEs, A Levels, Degree etc, always start with lowest type of qualification first but then list subjects by best grade!!

Then Work Experience, starting with most recent position first. As you have been at the same place but doing different positions if you list it so that it shows your overall time at the company and then break it down into job role (current position first)

19**- Present COMPANY NAME

19**- 19** JOB TITLE

My duties include:

Blah blah blah!!

19**- 19** JOB TITLE

etc.

Then include a section on training, If you include things like first aid courses, industry related qualifications, experience on computer packages (especially if you need to have a experience in the use of certain software: SAP, Lotus Notes SAS are always good to include if you can!!)

I never include references as otherwise they will request them without asking and its always good to warn your referees that they may be contacted!! Again I don't include hobbie either!! These things are really only required if you are filling out an application form. Good ones for your activities are socialising & working on cars. Try and stay away from surfing the net, especially if the job gives you access to the internet!!!!!

Include your clean driving licence and british passport in Personal Details at the top!!!

Think that everything so....

Good luck!!!!!!
