Default Dash Bulbs (escos)

Hi Guys

Half my dash is either not lit up or not green, IE i have the speedo clocks that are a 1/3rd green a 3rd white and a 3rd blown lol.

also i have no lights atall in the banana pod and its rather annoying when driving in the dark.

Any info on where i can get these as i would like them green.

Cheers

The filters that are built into the dash are a green colour - normal white bulbs then show green on the front once illuminated.

Asto the white bits, did the Escos not come with white dials?

ok, the esc cos dash lights are electro luminescent basicly the dials themselves light up,an inverter behind the speedo in the dash pod itself does this,
As for the fault you need to strip it down and first the bananna pod, this is powered by 2 black wires from the inverter itself you need to check for an output at these wires, the rest of the dials speedo,rev,fuel/temp are individually powered from 2 small prongs to them, check the connections to these they are very fragile, worst case each dial will need to be replaced, good news is your inverter is working as if it wasn't you would have nothing and you can't buy the inverter anymore! but rs componants do one you can solder to the original inverter board.

I will take a pic for you when i get a chance.

Imagine youre looking at the clocks with lights on. of what is illuminated Half are Green and half are white.

do these filters wear out then?

Maybe thats what the problem is.

ok so there are no bulbs, thanks for that the youth.

so it could be connections. Why would that make it shine white in certain areas though?

one word of warning when you get the speedo out you will see one bulb holder with a sticker on it it says "do not remove" do as it says and don't touch it!!it is the power to the inverter and undoing it will snap the prongs off on the inverter board.. remove the speedo dial and inverter first!
guess how I know??
