Default Help!!! please!!!

All,

Urgent help needed please, where can i find the engine number on my cosworth engine, there are a few near the pulleys but are they the right ones???

Main no is v89hf6090aa is this it???? if not where can i find it please!

Any help appreciated.

most Cossie blocks have the engine number on a flat edge part nr the dipstick area!

the number your quoting is NOT the engine number!

If the engine is still the original lol look at your log book or chassis plate under bonnet and the number you want to compare WILL have 2 letters and at least 5 numbers next to it! and as I said above MOST have the number nr the dipstick area!

Thanks again for that, wish it was that easy, the cosworth engine is in a escort turbo, therefore chassis number totally different. Trying to amend the logbook with dvla to show the new cc!

Does anybody know if I even have to provide the engine number as I assume the only reason they demand to know is fir road tax purposes?
